Three Preston North End players are away on international duty in June, with Alan Browne, Ali McCann and Harry Nevin all representing their respective nations.

Club captain Browne has joined the Republic of Ireland squad ahead of four Nations League fixtures, as Stephen Kenny’s men look to make a positive start in Group B1.

The first of their four fixtures takes place on Saturday 4th June at 2pm, as they travel to Armenia, before returning home for a double header.

Ukraine will visit the Aviva Stadium at 7.45pm on Wednesday 8th June, before UK neighbours Scotland arrive for a 5pm kick-off on Saturday 11th June.

Their block of fixtures then ends with a visit to Poland to take on Ukraine on Tuesday 14th June at 7.45pm.

Elsewhere, Ali McCann has four Nations League games coming up himself for Northern Ireland, starting with a home game against Greece at 7.45pm on Thursday 2nd June.

The midfielder will then face Cyprus and Kosovo away on Sunday 5th June (5pm) and Thursday 9th June (7.45pm) respectively.

They will then end the international break with another game against Cyprus, at Windsor Park, on Sunday 12th June at 2pm.

Away from competitive action, defender Harry Nevin has a friendly double header against Iceland approaching for Republic of Ireland U19s.

The central defender, whose professional contract at PNE begins this summer, could feature in the friendlies which take place in Spain on Wednesday 1st June (5.30pm) and Saturday 4th June (3pm).
