International Round-Up: June 2022

It has proven to be an international window of mixed success for Alan Browne, Ali McCann and Harry Nevin.

North End skipper Browne featured in all four of the Republic of Ireland's Nations League games, getting himself on the scoresheet against Scotland in the third of those.

The midfielder, who actually played at right wing back, opened the scoring against Steve Clarke's side in a game which ended 3-0 and got his country off the mark in their Nations League group.

He then played 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Ukraine in Poland, which saw them end the international period sat third in their group.

Elsewhere, McCann featured three times for Northern Ireland in what proved to be a frustrating run of fixtures, taking two points from their four matches.

The central midfielder started on two occasions, against Greece and Kosovo, and came on as a substitute away to Cyprus.

Meanwhile, Harry Nevin featured once for the Republic of Ireland U19s, playing an hour in a 3-0 victory over Iceland in Spain.
