Defender Joe Blanchard has joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side Lancaster City on work experience.
The 18-year-old, a second-year scholar at Preston North End, has been a regular feature for Nick Harrison’s U19s side who are pushing to become champions of the EFL Youth Alliance League.
Blanchard has also gained experience playing in Central League fixtures alongside some of North End’s senior players, including Paul Huntington.
He will now spend the next period of the campaign with Lancaster City, who currently sit 12th in their division.
