Following yesterday’s draw for the third round of the FA Cup, the club are working with Chelsea to announce the date of the fixture as soon as possible.
Organising the game is complicated based upon potential live TV or streaming selections, plus the fact that four West London teams have also been drawn at home in the third round of the FA Cup.
In addition, Chelsea are playing in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup against Newcastle United on 19th December 2023. Dependent upon the outcome of this tie, the first leg of the semi-finals are scheduled for 9th and 10th January 2024.
The FA Cup third round tie at Stamford Bridge will be played over the weekend of 5th to 8th January 2024, and as soon as a date and kick-off time has been confirmed, the club can make an official announcement.
Arrangements for tickets going on sale will be announced as soon as details of the tie have been confirmed, but initial indications are that the club will be allocated up to 6,000 tickets.
