Match Preview: Bruno's Magpies (N)

4 July 2023

Preston North End will play in front of hundreds of their own supporters out in Spain when they take on Bruno’s Magpies on Wednesday.

The Lilywhites will make the journey from the training base at Campoamor to Pinatar Arena for a 5pm kick-off (local time) on Wednesday 5th July.

Meanwhile, in the stands there are expected to be around 400 North End supporters who have – for the second year running – come out to Spain to follow their team.

Tickets are available for supporters to buy online in advance of the fixture, but fans will also be able to buy on the gate, with tickets costing €10 for adults and €5 for U10s.

In PNE’s way will be Gibraltar National League side Bruno’s Magpies, who are using the match as preparation for their UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier against Dundalk next week.

The Magpies will host the Irish outfit on Thursday 13th July before then facing them away from home a week later, as the two sides compete for a place in the second qualifying round.

For North End, it’s the second match of pre-season following Saturday’s 7-0 victory over Bamber Bridge.

PNE travelled with a 25-man squad to Campoamor on Sunday, and young Felipe Rodriguez-Gentile has since joined up with the group.

Everybody present on the trip – with the exception of Ched Evans – could be in contention to feature in Wednesday’s friendly.
