Preston North End are delighted to confirm Kian Best, Kian Taylor and Kitt Nelson have all signed professional deals with the club.
The trio have signed two-year contracts to keep them at Deepdale until at least 2025, agreeing new terms after having their one-year option exercised in March 2023 to follow the end of their scholarship.
Having trained exclusively with the first team during pre-season, the teenagers have earned plenty of plaudits for their performances during this month’s friendlies.
Taylor and Best, who are both capable of playing in defence and central midfield, are local lads who have made their way through the North End Academy from a young age.
Nelson, who operates either as an attacking midfielder or forward, has also progressed right the way through the ranks with PNE since joining at U9 level.
Manager Ryan Lowe said: “I’m really pleased we’ve managed to tie the lads down for the next two years with no complications.
“They’ve been with us during pre-season because we thought it was important they come and train with us to see how they cope and develop in our environment.
“I must say all of them have been different class. They’ve shown what they can do and we’ve been really impressed with them, and I’m sure the fans have been too.
“We only felt it was right to reward them with pro contracts for the next couple of years. This is the easy bit, though. What they’ve got to do now is keep improving and sustain their position as a Championship player at Preston North End.”
