We can confirm two more friendlies have now been added to the pre-season schedule, with Preston North End set to take on Bury and Barrow AFC on the road.
A North End XI will face Ryan Lowe’s former side Bury FC on Sunday 9th July at 3pm during what will no doubt be an emotional and momentous weekend for the Shakers.
Following a vote to merge with Bury AFC last month, the club are returning to familiar surroundings at Gigg Lane for the first time since 2019 with a friendly double header that weekend.

PNE will then take on League Two side Barrow AFC at 3pm on Saturday 15th July at the SO Legal Stadium.
The Bluebirds finished ninth in the 2022/23 campaign – their third season since sealing promotion to the EFL – and they have friendlies lined up against the likes of Newcastle United and Blackpool.

If tickets are not sold out, PNE supporters will also be able to buy on the day from the Barrow ticket office.
