Tom Cannon has earned a call-up to the latest Republic of Ireland U21 squad, who are set to take on Iceland in an international friendly later this month.
The on-loan Everton striker made multiple appearances and scored for the Republic of Ireland U19s in November 2019, netting in a 13-0 thrashing of Gibraltar, before then going on to feature at U20 level in March 2022.
Cannon will join up with the rest of the squad to take on a young Iceland side on Sunday 26th March at 4pm, in preparation for their upcoming UEFA U21 Euro qualifying campaign.
The game will take place at Turner's Cross – the home of Cork City – with the U21s having not played there in 14 years.
Ireland have been drawn in Group A, where they will face Italy, Norway, Türkiye, Latvia and San Marino.
Best of luck, Tom!
