Liam Delap has been called up to the England U20 squad who will face Germany, USA and France over the course of the international break.
The on-loan Manchester City striker, having joined North End in the January transfer window, will gear up for the FIFA U20 World Cup to be held later this year in Indonesia.
First up is a clash with Germany in familiar surroundings for Liam, at the Manchester City Academy Stadium on Wednesday 22nd March at 7.30pm, followed by USA on Saturday 25th March, for a 3pm kick-off at Marbella Football Centre.
He will then face a tough test against France, which will also be held at Marbella Football Centre, on Tuesday 28th March (3pm).
Liam made his debut for the U20s in September 2022, which saw him score in a 3-0 win over Chile at the Pinatar Arena, but before that in July, he also helped England win the UEFA European U19 Championship, defeating Israel 3-1 after extra-time.
Rising through the youth ranks to get where he is today, he particularly impressed after finishing as top scorer at the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Aegean Tournament for the U16s, but is now focused on the next step with the Young Lions.
Good luck, Liam!
