Preston North End and the club’s Community and Education Trust [PNECET] are once against hosting its annual Rainbow Laces matchday on Wednesday evening as a continued show of support for the Stonewall campaign.
Rainbow Laces is the leading way to show support for LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport, and 2023 marks the ten-year anniversary of the campaign.
According to Stonewall, more than one million people have laced up since its inception, with the main aim of the campaign being to show support for LGBTQ+ people in sport and fitness, and to help in the continued effort to show our beautiful game is for everyone.
To mark the dedicated matchday against Southampton, PNECET has invited Premier League Kicks participants from Clayton Green to the game.
Ahead of kick-off, the children will take part in a workshop about the important topic of inclusion, and they will also take part in half-time penalties while sporting rainbow laces.
We hope everyone attending enjoys their evening at Deepdale!
