Ryan faces competition from David Wagner of Norwich City, Enzo Maresca of Leicester City, and John Eustace of Birmingham City.
The judging panel making the decision is made up of ex-manager Danny Wilson, former striker Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
The winner will be announced on Friday 8th September.
