Preston North End goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Season at the Northwest Football Awards.
PNE’s No.1 – who won the club’s Sir Tom Finney Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards at the end of the 2022/23 campaign – is up against Blackburn Rovers’ Dominic Hyam and Burnley’s Josh Cullen for the accolade.
The nomination comes after his terrific performances during his first season as a North End player, which saw him break club records at the start of the campaign for keeping seven consecutive clean sheets, and he ended the season with 17 in total.
Voting for the awards closes at 5pm on Friday 29th September, with the ceremony set to take place at Emirates Old Trafford on Monday 6th November.
