2024/25 Sky Bet Championship Line-Up Confirmed

26 May 2024

Following the conclusion of the Play-Offs and the Premier League campaign, the full line-up has been confirmed for the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship season.

Southampton were the side who came out on top at Wembley in the showpiece final, meaning the Saints will join Leicester City and Ipswich Town in the Premier League, while Leeds United face another season in the Championship.

North End will gain a Lancashire derby as Burnley return to the second tier, with the Clarets having been relegated from the top flight following their promotion in the season prior.

They made it to the Premier League alongside Sheffield United and Luton Town, who have both also suffered the drop and will again be a Championship side during the upcoming campaign.

There will be a return to the second tier for Portsmouth for the first time since 2013 following their coronation as champions under former North End midfielder John Mousinho.

Derby County joined Pompey in securing an automatic promotion spot, while Oxford United’s 2-0 victory at Wembley over Bolton Wanderers means they will be back in the second tier for the first time in 25 years.

Again, there was a former Lilywhite at the heart of their success, with former loanee Josh Murphy scoring both goals in the final to seal a historic win.

The fixture schedule for the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship campaign will be released at 9am on Wednesday 26th June.

Sign up for all the home fixtures of the upcoming campaign with an early bird season card, which start at just £294 for adults.
