Preston North End Community and Education Trust is one of six club community organisations in Lancashire delivering the United Together programme in partnership with Active Lancashire.
The programme places an emphasis on sport and physical activity due to its development of team-building skills, increased confidence and the fostering of positive new relationships which can help bring about lasting behaviour change.
The pilot project provides a peer mentored support package to residents in Lancashire, focused on strategies that mitigate the risk of re-offending post release from prison.
As part of the programme, a weekly football session is delivered at Preston Sports Centre to support participants.
