Preston North End Community and Education Trust run a foundation degree course in community football coaching and development, in conjunction with the University of South Wales [USW] and the EFL Trust.
The two-year course provides students with the opportunity to gain work experience in the sports industry alongside their studies, as well as the chance to take up additional coaching qualifications such as an FA Level 2 certificate in Coaching Football.
There is also the option to study a top up in football coaching, development and adminstration, leading to a full Bachelor in Science degree qualification.
Students will mainly be based at Deepdale and Preston North End's facilities throughout the academic year, however, they will also attend two residentials a year at USW's Treforest Sports Park facility for induction and practical assessments.
Lectures are sent from the university to the students' online learning platform and are also delivered on site at Deepdale.
