In conjunction with the University of South Wales [USW] and the EFL Trust, Preston North End Community and Education Trust [PNECET] offers the opportunity to study various degree qualifications with lectures delivered on-site at Deepdale.
Our courses provide students with the opportunity to gain work experience in the sports industry alongside your studies, as well as the chance to take up additional coaching qualifications such as an FA certificates in coaching football.
Students will mainly be based at Deepdale and Preston North End's facilities throughout the academic year, however, you will also attend two residentials a year at USW's Treforest Sports Park facility for induction and practical assessments.
Lectures are sent from the university to the students' online learning platform and are also delivered on-site at Deepdale.
The two courses that we offer are Sports Coaching and Development and Sports Business and Management - both accredited by the University of South Wales.
Sports Coaching and Development will prepare you to work in a multitude of coaching, teaching and development roles. You will gain experience of working in the sports industry, either with a sports development organisation, a social enterprise, community club or primary / secondary school and have the chance to gain industry-recognised coaching qualifications. Sports Business and Management provides the opportunity to study in the workplace of a professional organisation in this sector, thus enhancing your employment opportunities. Learners studying a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport qualification on our own Preston Centre of Sporting Excellence programme can move straight onto the foundation degree course. We also welcome applicants from external organisations. Entry requirements are three passes at BTEC level or equivalent, or two D grades at A-Level.

FdA Community Football Coaching and Development
Our Community Football Coaching and Development Foundation Degree is a two-year course which provides students with the opportunity to gain an industry-recognised qualification while being affiliated with Preston North End Community and Education Trust [PNECET].
Learners enrolled on the Community Football Coaching and Development Foundation Degree, which is delivered alongside the EFL Trust and the University of South Wales [USW], are provided with a wealth of opportunities to gain work experience across by working on the Trust's community provision in and around Preston.
Learners will spend a minimum of five days a year at the USW Treforest on residential as part of the programme, while predominantly being based at our facilities for the remainder of the year. Lectures are delivered by PNECET, at Deepdale and other affiliated facilities, with materials provided direct from USW.

BsC (Hons) Community Football Coaching and Administration
The Community Football Coaching and Administration programme is exclusively for learners who have previously completed a Foundation Degree in a football-related subject or equivalent qualification, allowing learners to gain a full Bachelor of Science degree in less than one year with this top-up degree.
Learners will maintain their affiliation with Preston North End Community and Education Trust and consolidate their learning from the previous Foundation Degree while specialising in line with individuals' career ambitions, utilising work experience already gained.

The Sports Business and Management degree is a new course being offered by PNECET, which provides students with the opportunity to study at Preston North End Community and Education Trust [PNECET] and enhance their employment prospects.
Learners enrolled on the Sports Business and Management degree, which is delivered alongside the EFL Trust and the University of South Wales [USW], are provided with a wealth of opportunities to gain work experience across by working on the Trust's community provision in and around Preston, with four to eight hours' placement in year one followed by seven to 14 hours' placement in years two and three.
Learners will have up to three residential study visits at USW each year, while predominantly being based at our facilities for the remainder of the year. Lectures are delivered by PNECET, at Deepdale and other affiliated facilities, with materials provided direct from USW.
