Blood Pressure Checks

PNECET regularly attends events in the community where local residents and other individuals are invited to have a blood pressure reading.

Staff on our Health and Wellbeing initiatives also regularly conduct blood pressure readings of our participants, particularly for those accessing our Extra Time Hub, Walk and Talk for Lilywhites, Walking Football and FIT FANS programmes.

A blood pressure test checks if your blood pressure is healthy, or whether it is too high or low. Blood pressure is the term used to describe the strength at which your blood pushes against the side of your arteries as it is pumped around your body.

A blood pressure test can also provide a picture of your risk to a heart attack or stroke.

For more information about upcoming opportunities to have a blood pressure reading taken by a member of staff from PNECET, or from other organisations in the local area, please email grace.birtwell@pne.com.
