ETC
The Trust runs a Girls’ Football Emerging Talent Centre [ETC] in Preston to increase the number of female players who are playing football at all levels in the local area.
In 2022, we were granted an Emerging Talent Centre licence as part of the FA aims to ensure that any young female player with potential can access an ETC within an hour’s drive of their home
The ETC will run for a minimum of 30 weeks and host fixtures within the school holidays.
Age groups are operating as U11s, U13s and U16s.
Our ETC runs on Fridays evening 5pm-8pm (timetable below) at Preston College, St Vincents Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 8UR.
- U11s: Under 10 – 11’s – 1.5 hour training slot (6-7:30pm)
- Football training 6 – 7pm Fridays
- Strength & Conditioning 7 – 7.30pm Fridays
- U13s: Under 12 – 13’s – 1.5 hour training slot (5-6:30pm)
- Football training 5 – 6pm Fridays
- Strength and Conditioning 6 – 6.30pm Fridays
- U16s: Under 14 – 16’s – 1.5 hour training slot (6:30pm – 8pm)
- Strength & Conditioning 6:30pm – 7pm Fridays
- Football training 7 – 8pm Fridays
*As the 2022/23 season is currently underway until September 2023, referrals can only be made by schools and coaches within Preston. Information regarding our 2023/24 season and trials will be released in due course.
After completion of the trial period which will take place each season, local coaches, school teachers and youth sport educators can refer girls into the ETC by completing the referral form and emailing this over to Sagwati.malabi@pne.com.
