Preston North End Community and Education Trust [PNECET] has partnered with the EFL Trust to deliver the Extra Time Hub programme to bring those of retirement age together at Deepdale.
Extra Time Hubs allow those in their retirement years to come together and do things they enjoy – be it with light physical activity such as Walking Football, yoga and table tennis, or with engaging conversation, quizzes and guest speakers over a cup of tea.
Activities are delivered in a social capacity with the aim of allowing participants to develop and maintain friendships with like-minded people.
The programme is delivered at Deepdale, in the Health and Wellbeing Hub off Lowthorpe Road, initially every Thursday from 12 noon until 1pm, and will also include opportunities to play board games and participate in arts and crafts activities.
There is no requirement to register to attend the session – simply turn up to enjoy the activities! From June 2022, there will be a small cost to attend, which will be confirmed in due course.
The session is for those over the age of 55 and takes place immediately after the Walk And Talk For Lilywhites programme, of which you can find out more information by clicking here.
