Preston North End Community and Education Trust run an after school sports club for students at Preston Muslim Girls High School, based in Deepdale, every week.
The session runs on a Friday lunchtime for the girls in year 7 and year 8, following the end of the schoolday.
“I enjoy how we learn new tactics and we get to play with our friends, and we learn skills about football and more things every day. You learn how to communicate to people better and how to talk to people better and then how other people are and how to work with them.”
By bringing the girls together for the after school club, they are given the opportunity to train and learn new skills in football, trying out training drills and timed matches.
Not only that, but it also brings an array of social benefits with the opportunity to make new friends.
