Paul Huntington and Josh Ginnelly swapped the football pitch for the judging panel as pupils from St Clare’s Primary School showed off their dance routines in front of the North End pair!
Students from the school in Fulwood had been practising their dance routines during their PE lessons with staff from the Community and Education Trust, who have been assisting the delivery of PE lessons as part of the PL Primary Stars programme.
And on Wednesday afternoon, the students were rewarded for their hard work with a visit from Huntington and Ginnelly to cast their eye over their moves.
The players scored the groups of children out of five and although there were plenty of high scoring teams, the Lilywhites duo then had the task of giving our their gold star to just one of the enthusiastic groups of pupils.
The tables were then turned as pupils looked to the players to answer their questions, before of course finishing the lesson with an autograph signing session.
The lesson was held as part of the PL Primary Stars programme, under which the Trust delivers cross-curricular PE lessons that include maths and literacy concepts.
The programme is designed to inspire children to learn, be active and develop their life skills, as well as helping to improve teachers’ own delivery of lessons thanks to the help from the Trust staff.
