As a result of the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, the Trust’s education open evenings will be moving to an online format while social distancing measures remain in place.
The Trust is continuing to recruit students for the new academic year, in both its OCR Technical Diploma in Sport and USW Community Football Coaching foundation degree courses.
Aspiring PNECET Sports College can express their interest in attending an online open evening by filling in our online form here.
Upon completing the form, students will be contacted by a member of our education team with an invitation to join a Zoom meeting on their preferred date.
Members of the education team will be present for the online open evenings to provide information and advice about the range of courses provided by the Trust.
Students aged 16 or older can study either a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in the OCR Technical Diploma in Sport, with the Level 3 course the equivalent of three A-Levels.
Students completing the Level 3 course then have the chance to move onto the Community Football Coaching foundation degree. This is offered by the Trust in partnership with the University of South Wales.
Students aspiring to become coaches and teachers who have completed A-Levels or a BTEC qualification elsewhere can move straight onto the foundation degree course at Preston North End.
As part of their studies at the PNECET Sports College, students on both courses will have the chance to represent the Trust by playing football in the EFL Community and Education Football Alliance league.
Online open evenings will take place on the following dates, with further dates to be confirmed at a later date, should social distancing measures still be in place.
- Monday 20th April, 7pm
- Thursday 14th May, 7pm
- Monday 8th June, 7pm
