We’ve collated a number of images from our first week delivering PNECET Helping Hampers in the Preston community!
The hampers have been funded by the generous donations of the Preston North End first team squad and management, as well as from the general public, allowing the club and the Trust to deliver hampers to vulnerable members of community upon request.
A £5,000 grant from the Lancashire COVID-19 Community Support Fund has also ensured that we are able to donate hampers to members of our Sporting Memories, PNE Forces and walking football programmes.
Hampers contain essential food, drink and toiletry items, as well as engaging materials such as PNE matchday programmes, puzzle books and exercise sheets.
We also delivered one special 'Hero Hamper' to young supporter James after learning of his amazing charitable efforts from home in aid of the NHS!
🤍 Today we visited eight-year-old #pnefc fan James with a special #PNECET ‘Hero Hamper’ after he raised more than £750 for the NHS with a back garden relay race!

Members of staff from the Community and Education Trust began putting hampers together last Friday and after further work on that front on Monday and Tuesday, deliveries began on Wednesday 22nd April.
In the following three days, an incredible 100 hampers were delivered to members of the Preston community! You can nominate someone to receive a hamper by emailing community@pne.com.
We would also like to thank Preston Police and a number of volunteers who have assisted with the delivery of our hampers.
The club have been running a number of community initiatives in the absence of football, read more here.
