FIT LILYWHITES Programme Bringing Fans Back To Deepdale

26 August 2020

Preston North End fans who want to lose weight or lead a healthier and more active lifestyle can sign up for the Community and Education Trust’s FIT LILYWHITES programme, which is running at Deepdale next month.

FIT LILYWHITES is part of the successful EFL Trust FIT FANS programme, which provides fans with a 12-week fitness course running at the club’s stadium to encourage participants to make better lifestyle choices.

Although lockdown restrictions are still in place in Preston, the programme will still be able to run at Deepdale, albeit with full and comprehensive social distancing protocols in place.

FIT LILYWHITES is open to both men and women aged 35 to 65-years-old who want to lose weight, lower their BMI or for any other reason associated with improving their physical or mental health.

The programme will give fans the opportunity to meet like-minded supporters embarking on a similar fitness journey.

Each FIT FANS session will include a combination of physical activity and a lifestyle workshop.

Speaking of the FIT FANS programme, PNECET Inclusion Manager Melissa Brown said: “We are excited to get our FIT LILYWHITES programme up and running at Deepdale next month.

“The programme is for men and women aged 35 to 65 who are looking to make a lifestyle change and there is no setting more aspirational to do that than in the home stadium of Preston North End.

“Our first wave starts in September, giving fans the chance to get back inside Deepdale and meet like-minded supporters with a common goal of improving their fitness.

“We’re confident this will provide a fun environment for supporters to improve their health and fitness while challenging themselves as we look to bring as many supporters together as possible!”

The first wave of the FIT FANS programme will start in September, with programmes for men and women available.

There will also be further waves in January, April and September next year, meaning supporters who may be unable to take part in the programme this September can register their interest to join in the future.

If you are interested in taking part in the FIT FANS programme, please visit and select Preston North End as your chosen club, and a member of staff from the Community and Education Trust will soon be in touch.
