Preston North End Community and Education Trust are introducing a new online Zoom session to take place on every weekday as part of its work with the EFL Trust on the Tackling Loneliness Together Programme.
THE EFL Trust last month secured £810,000 of government funding – which is to be distributed between 32 EFL club community organisations, including Preston North End – that will be used to connect those at risk of loneliness.
As part of the initiative, PNECET will run a new online session to bring together North End supporters and members of its programmes, with a different Zoom meeting running every day from Monday to Friday.
The Preston North End fans chat on a Monday will invite fans to come together and discuss everything related to the club while our already established Sporting Memories online club will continue on a Tuesday.
Wednesdays will invite residents of the Fishwick and St Matthew’s wards of Preston to congregate online and bond with fellow members of their community.
This will also include input from the Friends of Fishwick and St Matthew’s following deliveries to vulnerable members of these areas as part of the PNECET Helping Hampers campaign recently.
We will invite our PNE Forces participants together for a social hour on a Thursday and it will be the turn of our walking football members on a Friday.
You can find a full list of the new sessions in the table below.
