School Uniform Donation Point Stationed At Deepdale

16 June 2020

Preston North End Community and Education Trust will be acting as a donation point for school uniform drop-offs as part of a partnership with Community Gateway Association over the next month.

The partnership will see primary and secondary school uniforms donated for any schools across Preston, meaning uniforms can be placed with families who may benefit from some extra support ahead of the new term in September.

The PNECET offices at Deepdale will be open from 9am until 2pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 24th July for members of the public to donate items of school uniform and other items such as bags, shoes, coats and PE kits.

Donations should be placed in a sealed-bag, with all clothing to be machine-washed before it is distributed to other members of the public.

The scheme provides the perfect opportunity for parents and guardians to ensure that children’s uniforms can continue to be of use to other children after they have perhaps become too small or are no longer of use, perhaps after changing schools, for example.

Items which can be donated are listed below:

  • Jumpers and sweatshirts
  • Trousers and skirts
  • Polo tops and shirts
  • Blazers
  • PE kits
  • School bags
  • Shoes
  • Coats

Referrals can be made for those who may benefit from the scheme from 1st August by contacting Community Gateway Association on 0800 953 0213, emailing gateway.support@communitygateway.co.uk.

Alternatively, please complete the referral form on the Community Gateway Association website.
