PNECET Statement: Community Activity

17 March 2020

Preston North End Community and Education Trust have provided a further update regarding the running of its provisions in Preston and the wider community.

Following guidance from partners and aligning with government advice, all PNECET programmes have now been cancelled until further notice, with the exception of the Premier League Primary Stars programme, the PNECET Sports College, the USW foundation degree course and the secondary school provision programme.

PNECET Sports College students on the Post-16 diploma programmes and USW foundation degree programmes are currently working in a distant-learning capacity.

Fixtures for students and participants from all other programmes have also been cancelled until further notice. The Premier League Primary Stars programme will continue to run in schools only.

Find a list of cancelled programmes below:

  • Walking football and futsal
  • Every Player Counts
  • PNE Forces
  • PNE Wildcats
  • Sporting Memories
  • Guild Lodge
  • PL Kicks
  • Development centres
  • Team Talk

We are unable to carry out any events, meetings or stadium tours at Deepdale for the foreseeable future.

The traditional Easter bingo fundraising night will be rescheduled for a new date later in the year.

Additional updates will be provided when provisions are back up and running or if programmes are subject to further changes.

The Trust will also provide further updates on its social media platforms regarding its programmes in accordance with the rapidly changing COVID-19 landscape.
