Grassroots Support Sees Lucas And Tyler Awarded Tickets

22 September 2021

The season card initiative between PNECET and Preston Police’s PC Paul Elliott, football officer for PNE, most recently saw Lucas and Tyler awarded the tickets for Saturday’s game against West Brom in recognition of their support for grassroots football.

The local constabulary purchased four season cards for the 2021/22 season for the use of deserving members of the community, which have been distributed together by PNECET and PC Paul Elliott to nominated supporters on alternate home matchdays.

Lucas, 15, and Tyler, 12, were awarded the season cards at the weekend after their support for the Lostock Hall grassroots teams, with Lucas coaching the under-6s team while also supporting the under-12s team together with his younger brother Tyler.

As well as helping his brother, Tyler has been supporting his mum Laura, who works full-time.

Laura said: “I nominated Lucas and Tyler for tickets as during the past year, despite going through their own issues, they have both provided support for grassroots football in their local community.

“They both love football and this is a great surprise for them after not being able to attend matches in the past year.”

The season cards are distributed to a different family, individual or group of people for every home game.

Fans can nominate a fellow PNE supporter or deserving member of the community to receive the season cards, for one match only, by emailing community@pne.com and using ‘Season Card Initiative’ in the subject line of your email.
