Preston North End celebrated its recently announced partnership with Her Game Too with a themed matchday at Deepdale for the Good Friday fixture against Millwall!
Her Game Too is a voluntary organisation aiming to make football a more welcoming and inclusive environment for female fans of all ages by combatting by sexist abuse within the game.
Her Game Too ambassadors Michelle Hill - Preston North End ambassador - and Samara Henry-Riding - Manchester City ambassador - were invited to the game alongside PNE Her Game Too advocate Kim Ramshead to distribute flyers about the organisation from the fan zone prior to kick-off.
Players warmed up in Her Game Too t-shirts in their pre-match warm-ups while Her Game Too branding was visible elsewhere across the stadium, including on the big screen and on stadium concourse posters.
Preston North End Community and Education Trust invited 100 female participants from its programmes to attend the fixture as well as hosting three girls teams for its Half-Time Penalty Shoot Out challenge; PNE Girls, Brinscall Girls and Walton Le Dale Girls.
We also took our dedicated Her Game Too giant photo frame into the fan zone, with club photographer Ian Robinson heading out to capture just some of our female fans ahead of kick-off posing in our new frame!
