Preston North End Women’s Football Club are delighted to announce N Palmer Deliveries Ltd will become official shirt sponsors of the team with immediate effect.
The local business, based in Preston, will support the team – in addition to Preston North End Community and Education Trust – for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign and during next season too.
N Palmer Deliveries Ltd are one of the leading logistics companies in the North West, and they pride themselves on continually exceeding customer expectations and delivering a prompt professional service.
Dave Ritson, Director at N Palmer Deliveries Ltd, said: “N Palmer Deliveries are delighted to become the first official shirt sponsors for Preston North End Women for the remainder of the 2022/23 season and 2023/24.
“After meeting with Tom [Drake, CEO at PNECET] and the team at PNE, it was an easy decision to help support the team and listen to their plans both on and off the pitch to raise the awareness of women’s football in the local community and further afield.
“Following the success of the national women’s team in the Euros and the impact that has had throughout the UK, we felt impelled to grow our existing partnership with the football club.
“Our founder Norman Palmer is a Preston lad born and bred, and several colleagues of the business are also life-long supporters, so we are extremely proud of the association this will bring for both parties.”
PNEWFC compete in the North West Women’s Regional League and have taken 11 points from their six league games so far this season, as well as reaching the third round of qualifying in the FA Cup, and the quarter-final stage of the Lancashire FA Women’s Challenge Cup.
David Rawcliffe, co-manager of PNEWFC, said: “It’s fantastic news for us that we’ve managed to get a shirt sponsorship.
“We get great help and support from Preston North End Community and Education Trust already, but having a sponsor behind us will benefit us even more.
“It enables us to improve the equipment we have and the variety of kit we can provide the team.
“Ultimately we’ve got ambitions to move higher in the league tiering and any help we can get in terms of doing that is great.
“We’re always looking to continue building the squad and with the extra finance behind us it’s a huge boost to everyone involved with the team.”
