Preston North End Community and Education Trust are welcoming two more Classes of the Week to tonight’s game against Nottingham Forest!
The ‘Class of the Week’ is a recently launched initiative that is welcoming deserving primary school classes from Preston and the surrounding area to Deepdale with complimentary match tickets for school children to attend alongside an accompanying adult.
For tonight’s game, Year 6 pupils from Middleforth Church of England Primary School, in Penwortham, and Year 4 pupils from St Wilfrid’s Primary School in Longridge will be our special primary school guests.
Middleforth – a new partner school of the Trust as of this academic year, who were the subject of a special visit from Emil Riis and Daniel Iversen earlier this season – have been recognised for their brilliant behaviour in every lesson.
Pupils are showing consistent punctuality in lessons with a commendable overall performance from both pupils and class teachers alike.
Jack Mountain, Schools Provision Coordinator, said: “Middleforth’s Year 6 class are a truly deserving recipient of the Class of the Week Award.
“They can be trusted to work well both individually, in large groups and as a class as a whole and have shown great progress in their lessons.
“It is always a pleasure for us to visit the class at school to deliver our Premier League Primary Stars programme and it will therefore be fantastic for us to welcome them back to Deepdale to watch the first team play.”
Classes of the week can be nominated for their achievements both in and outside the classroom and even outside of school.
Nominations are welcomed from staff members of all local schools in Preston and the surrounding areas. Parents or guardians wishing to make a nomination should contact their child’s school.
