There will be career development opportunities for those accessing the programme within several disciplines, including hospitality, media, business administration, youth work, sports coaching and catering.

The programme will be made up classroom learning, work experience and opportunities and other essential skills, including looking at writing a CV, job applications and mock interviews.

Candidates must be aged between 16 to 24-years-old, be unemployed or working fewer than 16 hours a week, and educated to Level 3 or below.

Traineeships Coordinator Jack Mountain said: “Our Traineeship Programme will provide young people in Preston with a fantastic offer to develop their employability skills and enhance their job prospects in the aspirational environment of Preston North End.

“The programme will provide young people with innovative learning opportunities and chances to gain work experience within multiple areas of the club and the Trust, demonstrating an insight into the multiple paths available to work in the sports industry.

“We believe that by utilising the power and appeal of the Preston North End brand we can provide a unique and innovative education pathway to help everyone achieve their goals.”
