Preston North End Community and Education Trust [PNECET] is recruiting a DIVERT Youth Officer to support young people aged ten to 17-years-old who are engaging in, or at risk of engaging in, crime and anti-social behaviour.
Working as part of the Violence Reduction Network [VRN], the DIVERT Youth Officer will work with targeted individuals and groups of young people aged ten to 17-years-old with the aim of reducing offending behaviour and risk to others.
Utilising mentoring skills and signposting to other agencies to provide wrap around support where required, the DIVERT Youth Coach will encourage the young people to access positive pathways such as education, employment, training and community provision.
The DIVERT Youth Coach must have a passion for working with and supporting young people, be able to integrate themselves into the local community, connecting and creating new partnerships with key stakeholders and be able to work independently, but also as part of a team when required.
