With dozens of people already signed up to bed down at Deepdale, a chance is being offered to discover more about the Big PNE Sleep Out.
Organisers are holding a public meeting on Thursday 20 April at Foxton Day Centre.
The meeting gives the chance for those taking part, or thinking of taking part, to hear from The Foxton about the work that goes on in the Day Centre and the impact the target of £50,000 fundraising through the sleep out can have.
Taking place on Friday 17 November 2023, the Big PNE Sleep Out will see hundreds of Prestonians bed down at Deepdale to raise money to help those who find themselves sleeping rough in the city.
Chief Executive of The Foxton Centre, Jeff Marsh, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming people to the Day Centre so they can hear about the support that’s provided to people.
“From a hot meal to activities and information sessions there’s a whole range of services we’re able to offer.
“The Big PNE Sleep Out and the funds raised from it will make a big difference to ensuring we’re able to continue to offer that provision throughout 2024 and beyond.”
Also attending the meeting will be representatives from the Big PNE Sleep Out organisers Preston North End Community and Education Trust, Blog Preston and Veolia.
The Day Centre is located in the basement of the Central Methodist Church on Fox Street in Preston city centre.
The public meeting takes place from 6pm on Thursday 20 April and all are welcome to attend.
