Preston North End Community and Education Trust [PNECET] is delighted to announce that its been shortlisted as a finalist at this year's Football Business Awards.

PNECET has been shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Award
  • Best Football Community Scheme - Non-Premier League
Launched in 2012, the Football Business Awards recognise the organisations, teams and individuals who excel in a variety of business, CSR and football governance disciplines.

The Equality, Diversity & Inclusion award nomination is in recognition of the charity's wide-reaching PR1-Community project working with local, ethnically diverse communities surrounding Deepdale, including the Ramadan, Break Your Fast and Multi-Faith Prayer Room initiatives.

The judging panel is made up of Chief Executives of Football Clubs, Professional Football Associations and Grassroots Football Organisations – all individuals whose knowledge, expertise and experience gives them special insight into the challenges and demands of football business success.

Tom Drake, CEO of PNECET, said: "We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Football Business Awards, recognising the amazing work that we do across our Preston community each day.
