Preston North End Community and Education Trust [PNECET] is delighted to announce that it will be partnering with local catering company, The Catering Co Group for the second year running on its Ramadan initiatives.
The partnership will see The Catering Co Group support PNECET with the provision of biryani meals to the local Muslim community during the PR1 and Break Your Fast events.
The Catering Co Group is a well-established, family-run business based in Lancashire with more than 40 years of experience cooking authentic Indian foods. They cater for weddings, parties, casual or corporate events.
Mo from The Catering Co Group said:
“Working with PNECET and the wider football club means a lot to us as a business.
"It allows us to give back to the community especially at this time of year. In Ramadan, we as Muslims try to increase our charitable work and good deeds to keep us humble and grounded and this project is the perfect opportunity for us to do that.
“Working with PNECET gives us the opportunity to work with a clientele that we would not normally come across in our usual line of work. The various community projects help people from all walks of life and it is fantastic to be a part of their journey to rebuild their lives.”
Bradley North, Community Partnerships Co-ordinator at PNECET, said: “Without the support of The Catering Co Group last year and going into this year’s Ramadan initiatives, we would not have been able to deliver the success that we have.
"Mo supported us with 3,000 packs of biryani that we delivered around Preston in the most populated Muslim areas. With the help of The Catering Co Group, we hope to achieve more of the same this year.”
