Preston North End Women’s Football Club [PNEWFC] is hosting open training nights for its Women’s and Junior teams on Thursday 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th June 2023.
These are taking place at UCLan Sports Arena (PR2 1SG) between the hours of 6pm – 9pm on the Central and West 3G pitches.
There is a direct pathway available from the Junior teams (U10 up to U16) to the Women’s Open Age, with the two clubs being brought together under one banner by Preston North End Community and Education Trust [PNECET] some three years ago.
PNECET supports the Women’s team at all levels with staffing, resourcing and logistical support, which includes the provision of training and match kit and organising training facilities.
The Women’s team play in the North West Regional Women’s League Division One North, with the Development Squad playing in the Lancashire County Women’s League Championship.
New players are being sought at both Junior and Open Age levels for the 2023/24 season.
Open training sessions are free to attend, but players who sign with a team at any level are required to pay a registration fee and monthly subscriptions.
To register your interest in attending an open training session during June, for yourself or for your child, please email email@example.com (U9 to U16) or firstname.lastname@example.org (Open Age), or alternatively fill out the enquiry form on the link here.
Meanwhile, the club is also seeking new coaches for its Junior and Senior teams – both outfield and goalkeeping roles in a voluntary capacity.
Candidates must be able to commit to training and matches and hold a Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football with access to their own transport.
In return, PNEWFC provides coaches with support with continued professional development via its Coaches’ Sponsorship Agreement.
To register your interest in this, please submit your CV to email@example.com.
