Local lad Kian Best signed his first professional deal with North End in July 2023 and soon made his debut for the first team.
Following an impressive pre-season, Kian earned his senior bow at the age of just 17 on the opening day of the Sky Bet Championship campaign – a 1-1 draw against Bristol City.
His impressive performances for the U19s during their double-winning 2021/22 campaign and then in the 2022/23 season helped catch the eye of manager Ryan Lowe.
A left-footed defender, who is also capable of playing in midfield, Kian has progressed through the PNE Academy since a young age, and one of his key strengths is on set pieces.
