Ethan Walker finished the 2018/19 season as the youth team’s top scorer for the second year in a row, but the highlight of his campaign undoubtedly came away from the U18 squad.

After a trailblazing start to the campaign, which included a hattrick in an away match at Shrewsbury Town, Ethan began to train with the first team, despite still being a first year scholar.

He then came off the bench to make his first team debut in the home draw against Aston Villa on Saturday 29th December 2018, becoming the youngest ever player to represent PNE in a league fixture.

With North End's Academy from U9 level, Ethan scored 11 goals and claimed 12 assists in 24 youth team appearances last term, completing a fine individual season. The left winger was only 14 years old when he first played for the youth team.

Ethan made his second first team appearance on Tuesday 13th August 2019, also off the bench in the away win against Bradford City in the Carabao Cup.

In the 2020/21 season, the winger was sent on loan to Carlisle United where he played 16 times in an injury-hit campaign.

Ethan went back out on loan in September 2021, joining AFC Fylde for a month.
