Manchester City striker Liam Delap joined Preston North End on loan until the end of the season on Thursday 12th January.

The forward had spent the first half of the 2022/23 campaign with fellow Championship side Stoke City, scoring three goals, and after being recalled by his parent club, he made the move to Deepdale.

Liam, an England U20 international, has experience of training regularly with the Manchester City first team, and he has also featured in the Premier League and Champions League.

The pacey striker, who netted on his senior debut in the Carabao Cup against AFC Bournemouth, had a remarkable record with City's youth team.

He scored 24 goals in just 20 appearances during the 2020/21 season, and he was in return named the Premier League 2 Player of the Year.
