Connor Ripley was North End's fourth signing of the January transfer window in 2019, signing from Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee.
The goalkeeper put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal, taking the No.25 shirt at Deepdale.
Ripley made his debut for North End on 27th April 2019 against Sheffield Wednesday, before keeping his place for the final game of the 2018/19 season against Brentford.
He played four cup games in the following season, and then featured once in the Championship in 2020/21 following an injury to Declan Rudd and before Daniel Iversen was drafted in.
The former England youth international came through the ranks at Middlesbrough before signing his first professional contract with Boro in 2011 at the age of 17. He went on to make his debut as a substitute in March that year against Reading.
Ripley, son of former Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers player Stuart Ripley, has had plenty of loan spells during his career, and prior to his switch to Deepdale, the 'keeper spent the first half of the 2018/19 season at Accrington Stanley in League One.
Before Stanley, Ripley enjoyed a successful loan at Oldham Athletic and was named in the Sky Bet League One Team of the Season for the 2016/17 campaign.
