PNE completed the signing of Ben Pringle for an undisclosed fee from Fulham in the summer of 2016.

The Newcastle-born left-sided midfielder started his career in his native north east, before a move to Derby County in 2009, where he made over 20 appearances in his two years with the Rams.

Pringle then signed for Rotherham United in 2011, where he made over 150 appearances for the Millers in four years, scoring 22 goals and being named in the PFA League One team of the year in their 2013/14 promotion season.

After four successful years with the Yorkshire club, Pringle signed for Fulham in the summer of 2015, featuring for the Cottagers in the Championship, before signing for Ipswich Town on loan during the 2015/16 season.

Pringle then became North End’s seventh summer signing in June 2016, following the arrivals of Chris Maxwell, Simon Makienok, Anders Lindegaard, Eoin Doyle, Callum Robinson and Tommy Spurr.
