Jack Baxter was heavily involved with the youth team last season but also trained with the first team on a regular basis.

The midfielder, from Chorley, often plays the holding role in the centre of the park. He signed with the academy at U9 level.

Baxter played 30 times for the youth team last season, captaining the side a handful of times. He proved a great set-piece taker, with five of his six goals coming from the penalty spot, the other a fine free-kick in last season’s final league match against Shrewsbury Town.
