Josh Ginnelly became the club's first signing of the 2019 January transfer window when he signed from Walsall.
The winger put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year contract and made the permanent switch to Deepdale for an undisclosed fee.
Ginnelly came through the ranks at Aston Villa as a youngster, before joining Shrewsbury Town in 2013. Josh then joined Burnley in 2015 and enjoyed a number of loan spells including one at Walsall during the 2016/17 season.
He made that move permanent ahead of the 2018/19 season after further loan spells at Lincoln City and Tranmere Rovers, where he helped the sides to the National League title and National League Play-Offs respectively.
Before signing for North End, Josh made 25 appearances for Walsall since the start of the 2018/19 campaign, scoring four goals for the Saddlers.
'Gino' made his PNE debut on 13th April 2019 away to West Bromwich Albion, and made a further four appearances in the final month of the 2018/19 season.
