Preston North End

Midfielder Josh Onomah joined Preston North End on 31st January 2023, signing a deal until the end of the season.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man arrived at Deepdale with the experience of two Championship promotions, both of which came with Fulham.

His game-time with the Cottagers became limited after the second of those, though, and his deal with the club was terminated by mutual agreement, and PNE acted quickly to get the deal done.

Describing himself as a box-to-box midfielder, Josh, who had played just two games in the 2022/23 campaign prior to his move, said he was looking to get back to his best at PNE.

In the earlier days of his career, Josh was successful on the international youth stage, winning the European Championship with England U17 in 2014 – alongside Freddie Woodman and Ryan Ledson – and he also lifted the World Cup with the U20s in 2017.
