Lewis Leigh signed his first professional deal for the club in August 2021, penning a contract to keep him at Deepdale until 2024.

After taking part in pre-season with the first team in 2021/22, Lewis played a key role in the success of the U19s, before an injury in the Youth Alliance Cup semi-final against Bolton Wanderers in April 2022 ended his season.

Leigh, who joined the club at U14 level, would make his debut for the first team in August 2022, coming on as a late substitute in a 4-1 victory over Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup.
