Theo Mawene is continuing the family name at Preston North End, following in the footsteps of his father Youl and brother Noah.
The 16-year-old midfielder became involved with the first team in March 2024, after impressing with the U19s and reserves, and he was named in a matchday squad for the first time in April 2024, in the Gentry Day fixture against Watford.
Manager Ryan Lowe was full of praise in interviews about the talent of the youngster and the quality he was showing in training.
His trust in the teenager was so high that he gave Theo his professional debut in late April, against Leicester City, and in doing so he became the seventh-youngest player in the club's history.
Theo's introduction from the bench came alongside brother Noah, making them the first siblings to play for PNE since 1985.
