Date of birth
Preston-born Jack, the son of a former Chorley player, took the role of goalkeeping coach until the end of the 2017/18 season in January, after Dean Kiely moved to Crystal Palace, to join up with his former boss Roy Hodgson.
Jack came through the Academy at Deepdale, earning a scholarship and then took the chance to earn experience in the men’s game in the Welsh Premier League. He spent two years in the EFL with Macclesfield Town before spells in the non-league with Telford United and hometown team Chorley.
He continued, through this time to develop his coaching abilities, working with the Lilywhites’ Academy and worked with the first team, alongside Alan Kelly, under Simon Grayson in the 2016/17 season.
Following Kelly’s resignation, Jack took up the role full-time, until Keily was appointed, who he continued to work alongside, as well as with the U18 Academy goalkeepers, however, after the departure of the former Republic of Ireland stopper he was given the role in his own right.
