Josh Seary is a second-year scholar who plays a huge part both offensively and defensively in the U19s side.

Liverpool-born Seary signed a professional deal alongside his scholarship in June 2021, which was triggered on his 17th birthday in September, and he went on to enjoy a successful first year with the U19s.

He found his best form at right wing back during the 2021/22 season, utilising his pace and eye for goal to become a major attacking threat for North End, scoring six times, while also providing essential defensive cover.

Always screaming for a pass, Seary stands out as one of the key men in Nick Harrison’s side and will be hoping to catch the eye of first team manager Ryan Lowe after being included in Frankie McAvoy’s training camp squad for the 2021 pre-season.

Seary is also now a regular in the Republic of Ireland U19s side.
