Finlay Cross-Adair was a consistent starter, when not with the first team during his two-year scholarship, and as a result earned a professional contract and debut.

That pro deal came in December 2022 after he'd already made two appearances for the first team, and four appearances followed during the remainder of the 2022/23 season.

While he is now a regular at first team training, Finlay has achieved plenty with the youth team, helping them achieve a league and cup double in 2021/22, before then scoring prolifically the following term - when he wasn't with the first team.

Being a North End player perhaps means more to Finlay than most, given that he spent his childhood at Deepdale watching matches, before making his way through the youth ranks.
