There was no player more unfortunate than Hafizul Rahman last season after his season was cruelly ended by a serious injury.
In just his second youth team appearance of last season – and his most recent to date – Rahman suffered a broken leg in a match against Wigan in September 2017.
Rahman had played for the U18s prior to his first season as a scholar, though, and the skilful winger, who can play on either side, will be confident of making an impact once again in the second half of his scholarship with the club.
The wide man joined the club as an eight-year-old following a brief stint with his hometown club, Blackburn Rovers.
